Oh my goodness, the last few days have been nuts.. Starting on Thursday, Ethan left his agenda book in my sisters car, which would never be blog worthy but she decided to go oout of town, and if he didnt take this to school he would miss recess, and I didnt want that to happen. So I called my sister to stop and i would meet her she was almost 45 min away. She was actually stuck in traffic she ran up on a horrible wreck, but I may blog about that later. So, anyway I went and spent nearly 2 hours on the road and got his agenda book-- spoiled, maybe {grin}.
Now, fast forward a few hours, Ethan comes into bed around 2 in the morning crying, I could tell he was truly sick he was burning up, and so thirsty, I thought perhaps it was his sugar, I told him he could hang out in my bed so I could keep an eye on him, few hours later it was time for school, we decided his temp was over 100 so he would be staying home, so after all the travels, he didnt need his agenda book after all, oh well! {grin}
He went to the dr at 4:30, hubby took him, Ethan is terrible with drs. called me about an hour later to tell me, I was wright it was strep, I thought it was strep, he was saying his jaw, throat, and neck was hurting.
Brayden had went to stay at my cousins house so that he wouldnt get sick, so I was at home with Ethan , making him better. my dad has been sick since Thursday from his treatment so he was at our house too. So, i just thought Brayden would benefit not being here at 8 at I get a call, Brayden is freezing and his teeth are chattering and he is really warm, but he is saying he dont feel good. I said ok, we will be right there. He gets home with a temp of 102.7, an hour later he was at 103.... This made me nervous again, it was near bed time and Brayden has had a history of seizers, he dont have them alot, but when he runs a fever of 104, it triggers his seizers.
So, that left us with a long night....... Ill post more later, it was the longest night, and I was still awake at 5 am. So, im thinking a nap is in my future {grin}....

****Warning this will be a long post!
Let me start off by saying that being a mother is the most important honor in the world. I am thrilled to be a mom, and I honestly love each and every single minute of being a mom. But with my husband gone alot, I feel like I have not even began to be the best mom that I know that I can be, instead I have been in survival mode. And this is truly getting me down. When I lay in bed and think about everything that I want to change about my life, it is about the way that I parent, and yet I do nothing about it. And tonight my children have proven to me that I'm not being the mom that I need to be to them and it is time for a change..
Let me tell you that I am not a perfect mom, but I sure don't think that I'm the worse mother in the world. My parenting is alot different then some people would approve of. And this is where this post can get controversial.... So I'm pouring my heart out, trust me I know that people will judge me and talk about me and this is perfectly ok with me, I'm used to it, my family talks about my parenting my husband dislikes alot of it but it is who I am..
When I was first pregnant with Ethan, I cant begin to tell you how many people disapproved of my pregnancy and to say that it was less then planned is an understatement, this is a long story that i will not go into all the way, but I had a surgery while I was pregnant I didn't know and the hospital did not test, so lets say that I could have done alot of legal actions but to have a baby born healthy is all that I wanted. I was advised by my friends, my Dr that was a good friend of mine and the sperm donor to have an abortion. Let me say that this was not the option for me, I'm not judging people that do, but it wasn't my options since I was a little girl i had played mommy, and i loved the idea of being a mom so abortion wasn't for me, I agree that there were health risk with my surgery but we left that up to God and whatever happened, happened.
So to be his mom was a blessing to me, and our first year together was a very very hard year. I was a single mom, i worked full time, carrying him to work with me, went to college 2 times a wk and did an Internet course, and he was in and out of the hospital his entire first year, so being his mom is something that i take very serious, and to think of all the bonding that I had with him, is something that I cant explain to you.
Then when I had Brayden, same thing we were not planning, but it is perfectly ok, we were happy. Darin was beyond thrilled so life was good. We did none of the primary testing for downs or anything, none of that was important to us, we knew that we were having our angle and that he was perfect in our eyes so we would just turn that over to the lord. I remember at 17 weeks I started bleeding and I called the Dr and he said honey I'm sorry that i think that you are miscarrying you need to go to bed and come in the morning so we can confirm, so that entire night I layed in bed crying, Darin and I didn't say many words, we were both so scared, we went to the dr without even talking walked in ready to confirm that we were loosing our baby and he was fine!! SO the dr said to go on bed rest for a few weeks and lets see how things go, at 28 weeks i started contracting and it was getting reallly bad, the Dr sent me over to the hospital from his office Darin was on post 2 hrs away and I knew it would take him a while so I didn't call anyone to worry them, there was nothing the Dr said that he could do if the baby was born then and that he was really small so we would try to stop labor and if that didn't work we will prob loose him. So from that point on i went to the hospital 3 times a week for monitoring B didn't move alot so we never knew how things were from the outside, I finally nursed him to 34 weeks and had him. His heart stopped several times during delivery, and it was horrible labor experience I will post on that later, and B was born not breathing and my baby couldn't suck. there were lots of things going on with him and we have had a rough 4 yrs, but being his mom is an honor as well
So with that back ground you can see why when I look at my kids I see my angels, I see miracles that I have been so beyond blessed to have. And I know how important it is to make them mind, and if I love them then I will parent differently, I know all of that, but let me say that it is so hard for me. I have spent all these years making them happy , keeping them from hurt, protecting them from pain, so I don't believe in spanking. I know call the police. I don't like it!!!!!!!!!!! I feel like when you spank its mostly out of anger for some grown up issue, you are more short patient with them when you are the one that has had a bad day. So spanking is not an option for me. And now for my husband :)
I allow my kids to have there own style with a little guidance. if they want to wear mis matching shoes to the store, it really is hurting no one and often times gives people something to talk about. My kids sometimes they match often times they don't, its ok. It really isn't worth it to me to strip them of there person style so that they match each other. I often times ignore my house to paint pictures, or even after i just mopped my floor for the first time in 2 weeks we get out dry beans and play tractors, i know that the yard needs mowing but its so much more fun to bury my feet in the sand in the sand box. I know that there is so much that needs to be done around here but darn these kids are growing so fast and i don't want to take that for granted. Tonight after me cleaning out closets and bed rooms and cabinets , I could really be mad that I have 3 or 4 Thomas the train tracks in my living room, kitchen and down the hall, but who wouldn't be jealous to live in the middle of the island of sodor? LOL
You know sometimes we go to bed without a bath every night, sometimes they don't have there hair cut on time, we often times don't clip there nails when we should, and sometimes we eat ice cream for dinner, but there is one thing that this mommy that is relaxed and probably not getting a mother of the year award for will not tolerate and that is my boys being mean to one another... I don't like to see them scream and yell at each other often I sit back and let them work it out so that they can figure out how to solve problems, but I will NOT ACCEPT A CHILD TO BULLY THE OTHER!!! I will not have that. I will not have them hitting each other, kicking each other, totally lying to one another. these are things that I will not have. I want them to know that in this world when you have nothing else, and you cant trust anyone else, that you r brother has your back, your brother is your best friend, your brother will protect you from whatever. So I understand that kids will be kids and little boys will fight but tonight I watched my 7 year old push my 4 yr old down to the ground outside on my concrete drive way and punch him and just not let up for anything, a glass was broken he was so out of control. I understand this is a cry for anger management ... As a mom this hurt me to see this much anger build up in him. After I finally stopped being soo mad and I sent them to there different rooms, and I had to go into my bathroom and cry and pull myself together, I had to go into Ethan's room and we have boxed up all of his belongings and he has to earn them alllllll back. Tomorrow he will start on his closet and help go thru his clothes, and he will start being caring one way or the other. Why does parenting have to be so hard, why cant I be stronger, I know that they need me to be more aggressive but it is hard and hurtful... I told you this was a long post and so sorry but i had to express all these feeling that were on my chest, Motherhood is incredible, but it is so hard to see some of the mistakes that i have made.

Time never stops
This weekend has already come and gone... It was a very busy weekend, the last week was really busy. I had my mom- in-love in town with me to hang out for the week.. Such a nice treat. The boys had their last week of school, and I promise to catch up and post their awards day pictures but you know....TIME!!!
But, for the time being.. Friday night my sister graduated from getting her Medical Assistant diploma.. This was a big deal, she home schooled for high school and never walked the line, so this was such a sweet treat, and the emotional nut that I am, cried the entire time.. Proud of her, now I hope this steps makes her regain her self esteem, put her head on her shoulders, and grow up!!!
Saturday, we had all these huge hopes and plans to go have a picnic at a state park, feed the ducks, just enjoy the day. We have been on the go so much this week... Well, when we got in the car it started to rain,so we thought that we would stop at chic fil a, and eat lunch and play then maybe the rain would stop... So after an hour, we thought well it looks like it will get better so lets go to t*rget, we were really out of the park thing. So, we went to T*rget to get a few things and thought hey, lets but one of those neat sprinkler things, and a snow cone maker... This will be fun treats for the summer... So we went home sooo excited, made snow cones, came outside and it was so much cooler then we thought it should be... Since Bray had been getting sick all day with a cough we thought we would can the water idea, and go get new sand for the sand box and play....

Read Me Day-- Hometown Heros
Today has been an incredibly busy day for me, this is almost the kind of busy I love.... I may have overbooked a little but I LOVE IT... Today, at Ethan's school was Read Me Day, and our school decided to honor our Hometown Hero's.. Sadly alot of our "local" soldiers are deployed, but there is talk to doing another Read Me Day with the Hero's when they get home.. Moving on.... Today when we were at school getting ready for the breakfast I took a few pics..
I love this flag made with the students hands from the school...

Here are a few of the decorations on the tables for the breakfast we hosted for them before they went to read.. It was such a good spirit in the room that day..
Here are a few of the books that they chose from to read to our kids... The one that was chosen to be read to Ethan's room was perfect!!! He read My Dad My Hero.. IT was the perfect book. The librarian is actually getting us a copy of it..
This is who read to our class.. I love to see that my Ethan was actually listening, yes, today the gentleman reading is in police uniform, he is now retired from the military after serving 33 years. He decided to read about his military experience vs the police experience.. He was sweet to bring his patrol car to allow the kids to explore, to cool... We thank alllll the people who came to read to the kids....

If an apple a day can keep the dr away--- we better buy an orchard!!!!
IN the last 2 weeks we have had nothing but sickness all thru our family. My grandmother and Uncle both in ICU in 2 different hospitals. My step dad, Khloe and Kinlee all have had pneumonia and now both the boys have strep. Ethan has a little more he has impetigo as well, and he is having high blood pressure which we are scared could be another bigger problem when we research it all. That will be another post on its on... For tonight I have to show you how bored I am.... I draw up all the kids meds and put them in their color coded syringe so when I line all the kids up I don't have to rush and measure the kids meds out so I like to take me time and read and measure before I call the kids in...

Pink is for Khloe, Blue for Brayden and Yellow for Ethan. Just for the record Khloe and Brayden take their meds like champs. Ethan on the other hand DRAMA QUEEN!!!!! Just keep us in your prayers we will get thru all these antibiotics, and moving on to get Ethan into another dr for a closer look at his heart and his blood pressure... Oh the sweet fun of being Dr. Mom.. Im just blessed beyond words to be able to stay at home and take care of them...

Where have I been??
I know that I said that I was going to start blogging more often and all that good stuff, but my friends life around here has been crazy..... I'm going to work very hard on keeping my blog up to date, now that I know my hubby will be checking it on to keep up with his little family, as I type this I'm happy to say that he is still in C@mp Shel.by but all this will change soon, I will not give out specifics for the safety of there travels. But here is what we have been up to.. Last Friday our town got some of the most snow and ice that we have seen in forever, normally I'm sooooooo excited about this, but this time-- not so much! I knew that I was going to be driving my kids, my mom, my aunt and her grand daughter over 500 miles to see Darin, To spend a week with him before he makes his big journey.. You thought he was already deployed? OK, glad you asked!! He has been deployed since Dec. 5th, but they have been in C@mp She.lby doing more training, they are leaving sometime this week for Ku.wait but that I will announce later, just say a prayer daily for their safe travels and he will be held there for around 2 weeks to adjust to the climate, time difference all that good stuff before they had to Ir@q for their mission, he will return home sometime in December. But back to the journey. You see I was soooooo determined I was going and nothing was going to stop me, and it didn't..I drove on an ice covered interstate going 20 mph all across TN. These were the interstates..
But after we left TN, and got into Alabama all was well, and this was taking when we were less then an hour away. I was one very happy mama.
The kids were restless, so was my mom. She had to personally entertain this wild child the entire way and Khloe never went to sleep only one short hour long nap for the 8 or 9 hours we were on the road.YIKES!!!

Update
Just wanted to let you know that we are still here, we had a great weekend and I do have some pics to post, but to much of our surprise... Our house is more like a hospital right now. In one room we have one puking. In another we have cool mist vaporizer going on and he is coughing his head off. Third room Khloe has her air purifier going on and she is the best out of all 3. Mommy and Daddy are all coughing and sneezing, when it hits around here, it hits good... Lets send good wishes our way we have company coming Thursday and I have to get real cleaning done ,and our tree put up, right now we are just doing piles and piles of laundry.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ETHAN

Update!
Well today Khloe finally went to the Dr, she weighed 33 pounds, my sweet little girly. She does have fluid on her left ear, and she has strep throat fun times... Now we are at home with 2 meds, and a very fussy whinny child. And Brayden went to the Dr today too, he weighed 43 pounds, and he was tested again for flu, although we have all had swine flu, thankfully he did not have flu and his throat and ears looked good, he does have a very active tummy and he has a tummy bug, so we will see how things are going tomorrow if he goes to school tomorrow. So to say the least we have had a very long day full of screaming mad whiny kids.
Thankfully Ethan is staying strong and not sick, he went to choir practice tonight and he is staying with Papa so that he stays clear from the germs.. Speaking of Ethan, remind me I owe him his own entire post and his teenager ways!
****Just for fun we weighed Kinlee tonight and she weighed 23 pounds funny we have one 23,33,43 pounds Ill have to weigh Ethan and see where he is at.
*Note to self- I owe Brayden his entire Birthday Post.Ethan's bday is next Thursday!! These kids are growing like crazy!

ANOTHER ROUND OF SICKNESS COMING THRU
As I'm attempting to adjust to my new meds and recovering from a horrible weekend Khloe and Brayden are sick. We have started trying to potty train Brayden, I know that he is 4 now, but potty training a child with developmental delays and sensory issues can be slightly challenging, so we have had a crazy week with him. So this morning Brayden wakes up grabbing his tummy and telling me that his tummy hurts so we blow it off thinking well, maybe he just needs to go potty, so we go on and send him to school I tell his teacher that he has woke up holding his tummy and she is like we will watch him. As he was getting out of the car I noticed his attitude was changed he didn't want to get out of the car and was really scared to "jump" out of the van, so it was odd but we took it as Brayden Behavior. *** Side note- it has been colder in the morning and with his Stiff Person Syndrome it makes his body hurt, so some of his delay this morning I was afraid maybe his muscles were hurting. Anyway, at around 8:45 I see Brayden school calling me, and I knew it was time for him to be leaving for Physical Therapy so I was curious maybe he had to many accidents, I didn't expect for them to tell me he was throwing up everywhere!!!! So I went immediately to get my baby, feeling horrible for sending him to school, had I known he was sick, I would never sent him, but with all going on, I didn't want to over react. As the day goes on he has played but then grabbed his tummy, his head, and then as he was laying down for a nap he started complain that his back and legs were hurting poor angel, I hope that his Stiff Person is not going to start up again. We will watch and see how things are going, we are aware that if he is going thru a growth spurt it can be painful so we will keep a close eye, tonight he started running a fever so we are staying home tomorrow. Mommy is glad! SO we are going to doctor him and Khloe up all day tomorrow and hope this is short lived.

If I could hold time in a bottle-
I just want to say, you know that there are days that our life is so busy, that we just rush, rush and rush, try to get everything into one day. But today, you know I'm just sad. I wish that we could make time stand still. I would love to enjoy every single minute with my babies , they are going back to school in one week. And I cant stand it. So for the rest of this week, I'm going to try to slow down and enjoy some time with my babies, let the house go if need be. These floors will be here in 2 weeks to be cleaned but my babies will not. The next 2 days my hubby has taken off to spend some time with us as well, and I'm blessed to have that time with him. He will be traveling alot for the nest couple months while getting ready for his deployment, it makes me sick, but until then I'm going to enjoy every minute with him.

attempting an update...
There have been so many things that have been going on since I last blogged, I did take a break from it if you all read any other blogs you all know about the "fake blog" that we all got so into and I prayed for a baby that wasnt there, not going to talk more on that just felt I needed a break, and I was a little concerned over a few readers that I have had so i had to re- evaluate what I had to say and be careful for the fact of military details, another thing that has kept me away is my hubby went out of town and that made it tough on me here, his grandfather passed away so he went to Utah, and you know him being away for 5 days really was an eye opener for me, it made me have all those feelings of being a single mom again, not being able to comfort my husband since hew as so far away, just the sheer thought that he is leaving this year hit me.... With that going on, I really needed to take a break. I really have so much to update and I promise Im going to. But for this week I want to leave you with this please say a prayer for my Khloe she is going to have tubes put in on Thursday. I hope that everything goes well. So here are a few pics of baby girl.Say a prayer for her.

But I would like to write down a few things about Khloe on her big special day so we never for get them:
* Oh Khloe- you are such a big girl, you just started sleeping thru the night about 2 weeks ago!
Thank you!!!
Thank you!!!
* You like to take at least 2 naps a day one at 9:30 and another at 1:30 and depending on how tired you are sometimes you fall asleep while I cook dinner, but no fear, you go to sleep as soon as its dark outside no mater what time that may be.
* You are not eating well, your favorite food which is a snack is "puff corn" and favorite food is Yo Baby yogurt
*You are doing better with a sippy cup
*You throw alot of fits, you don't want me to leave your side not for one second.
* you wear size 3 diapers, and almost ready to move up
* You weigh 22 pounds
* you are having tubes in your ears soon June 18
* You love playing with baby dolls, and blankets
* you love to crawl, and pull to stand
* You are one amazing little angel girl!!!! We are sooo blessed to have you in our family.........
***** Now to a cute poem her aunt wrote for her:
KHLOE ABAGAIL
ONE SPECIAL DAY, ONE YEAR AGO
WE SAW YOUR FINGERS AND YOUR TOES
YOU WERE A LITTLE BUNDLE, FULL OF LOVE
A GIFT FROM HEAVEN AND ANGLES ABOVE
YOU CAME TO US, WITH EYES OF BLUE
WE WATCH EACH DAY TO SEE WHAT YOU DO
YOU'RE IN A FAMILY THAT LOVES YOU SO MUCH
YOU'RE ONE LUCKY GIRL AND OUR HEARTS YOU TOUCH
YOU'VE GOT LOTS TO DO AND LOTS TO SAY
EVERY TIME I SEE YOU , YOU BRIGHTEN MY DAY
NOW GROW ON UP, BE SMART, AND DO GOOD
BE HAPPY LIL' KHLOE JUST LIKE YOU SHOULD
JESUS WILL WATCH OVER AND BE WITH YOU
AND KEEP YOU SAFE IN ALL YOU DO
NOW JUST GET DIRTY AND PLAY WITH YOUR TOYS
REMEMBER "GIRL POWER" IN THE MIST OF THOSE BOYS
WITH ETHAN AND BRAYDEN AND KINLEE TOO,
YOU " GO BIG GIRL" SHOW EM WHAT TO DO!!!!
**** I LOVE THAT ITS SO CUTE. WE LOVE YOU KHLOE, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
I WILL POST PICTURES SOON! BUT I'M SO TIRED

Is there a doctor in the house???
Oh man oh man if only my husband was a dr, but more on that in one minute, a few things re going on just wanted to tell you guys about, this picture is a picture of all of us, minus Khloe last year at the Relay for Life, if you all don't know Its a huge fund raiser that I have participated in for about 10 years its from the American Cancer Society. Our family for last year and this year have decided to do our own Family team and we are sooo glad, our poor family has been touched by cancer more then anyone should, tonight while at a Relay planning meeting in about 2 min, we named 20 family members and a few friends that have or had cancer, so this is our way of doing our part and supporting these awesome fighters, our family always sticks with Patriotic theme, we are one heck of an "Proud to be American" family and Im proud of it. This year theme is "HEROS" so we are excited, if anyone is in the area on June 26th and you are a survivor and want to participate please email me chattytiffy1112@yahoo.com would love to have you walk that Survivor lap, and have your family have some awesome support.

Now onto more news my husband is getting ready for that third tour, and they have been taking Combat Life Saver, this is not his first time taking it, but just wanted to show you guys my hubby in action, starting an IV- don't it make you feel a little better knowing they are prepared to help one another if the time may come, God Pray it never does.

Only 4 days left of school, 1 more day until Khloes 1st bday, 1 day until my mother in law gets here, soooo much going on!!
