So whats for dinner??

Lets just say that I have the most picky eaters, ever!!! I know, I'm not one of those moms, that say You have to eat what I serve or you go to bed hungry, thats not me!!! So, just save those thoughts and comments to your self. Trust me I have alot more terrible things that I do as a disservice to my children, so.... LOL I do want to share with you all a recipe that my oldest Ethan sampled at a Wal- Mart, he liked it so much that today while he was in school I went back out there to see what it was exactly I was going to buy it, come to find out they were saleing there TyS@ON chicken breast. But they did give me the recipe that she was mixing up. So I thought that if he loved it so much perhaps you would too..

Its very easy, you can either bake or boiled your chicken breast, or purchase the already cooked Tys*n chicken breast and heat them whatever... I also purchased the 90 sec rice in a bag, yes I can cook, but rice not one of my things... SO i fix the rice, cube up my chicken, and you chop up your onions very fine ( i did leave this out, I knew that wouldn't fly here) then iced my tomatoes, and finely chopped cilantro.. and mix it all together and this is what you have:
We love to have fruit for a side dish during the summer months, and the only "green" veggie the kids eat are green peas, so this is what the plate looked like.. I did substitute green peas for me and added dark red beans. I love red beans or black beans in everything.
So Good Luck with your eaters.. Happy Summer Food!!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!!

Your my world- The shelter from the rain
Your the pills that take away my pain.

Your the light that helps me find my way
Your the words when I have nothing else to say
And in this world where nothing else is true
Here I am all tangled up in you

Your the fire that warms when me when I'm cold
Your the hand I have to hold as I grow old

Your the shore when I am lost at sea
Your the only thing that I like about me

And in this world where nothing else is true
Here I am still tangled up in you

How long has it been since this story line began
And I hope it never ends and it goes like this forever
And in this world where nothing else is true

Here I am still tangled up in you

I'm still tangled up in you......

Tangled up in you!!!

Darin,
This has been the most incredible 5 years of my life, It has been anything but normal.. And you know what... I love it!!! I didn't know what it meant to be in a military family, I didn't know how hard it could be at times, how lonely it could be at times, hos frustrating it could be, how rewarding it would be, how it would bring us miles and miles apart and out of the 5 years we probably only been in the same house 2 and half of those years, lol but even with the many miles, the challenges, the frustrations, the scariness, the unknown... I would do it all over again. This has been an amazing journey and I love the partner I have to travel down it together.

I think that we make an amazing team, we cover lots of the political spectrum we have all sides covered, which makes for fun discussions, we have different parenting views which is ok, we are different but in the end we are so perfect for each other.

I cant tell you how blessed to have you in my life, the father to my children, my best friend. Thank you for all that you have done for our family...

And I cant wait til the day that we are back in each others arms... Here is to 5 amazing years, and looking forward to many more, this my love is just the beginning. I love you more then the moon and the stars....
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!

Election day in Iraq

This was such a historic day and Im so proud that hubby was a part of it I wanted to show a few pics from it... Darin is the one on the far left directing his truck to back up.... Darin is still on the far left, notice the reporters and camera people that were with them.
Here are the women and children walking the streets, its amazing how they walk the streets knowing that this is their life, I cant imagine as a mom having my kids out on streets like this, I know that this is their life and they know no other way, just happy that our soldiers are there helping them to experience some of our American Freedoms"

I had to show you the "Pizza Hut" on the streets of Baghdad..

Amazing....

Fun Friday Night

Today I have not been feeling good at all so me and the kids went and visited my cousin that is so awsome and helps me soooo much with the kids, she only lives one street over its awsome, but tonight we decided to play hide and seek, it was so funny... I know in this pic Khloe looks like a boy, she has eczema really bad and actually went to the dr today and she had some of her new cream that is why she didnt have on clothes, and she has also decided she likes pull ups since I wasnt prepared for pull ups she is wearing one of Braydens old pull ups.. ON to Hide and seek...

**************Can you find Brayden?
************************* Here he is.!!!!!!!!!!!***************************

What about now??? Look very very closely....

It truly was a funny night. Now im off to get some sleep. We sent Khloe away for the night so its me with the older kids. So I should get some sleep...

It hit me, this is real............

Well, my husband finally sent me these pics last night, I have been wanting to see what he has been up to and see some of the area.. I had no idea when I saw these, that it would hit me... He is really there. These look like images I see on the news when they are talking about the "war". But these are images of my husband at work in Iraq. Wow..
***My husband is the one on the right. Talking about the area.
We dont see it in the picture but my husband was with the Iraqi police checking out an area. Scarey..
Here is my hubby and 2 of his guys on his truck before they went on there first mission.

And here they are afterwards. All safe..

Read Me Day-- Hometown Heros

Today has been an incredibly busy day for me, this is almost the kind of busy I love.... I may have overbooked a little but I LOVE IT... Today, at Ethan's school was Read Me Day, and our school decided to honor our Hometown Hero's.. Sadly alot of our "local" soldiers are deployed, but there is talk to doing another Read Me Day with the Hero's when they get home.. Moving on.... Today when we were at school getting ready for the breakfast I took a few pics.. I love this flag made with the students hands from the school...

Here are a few of the decorations on the tables for the breakfast we hosted for them before they went to read.. It was such a good spirit in the room that day..
Here are a few of the books that they chose from to read to our kids... The one that was chosen to be read to Ethan's room was perfect!!! He read My Dad My Hero.. IT was the perfect book. The librarian is actually getting us a copy of it..

This is who read to our class.. I love to see that my Ethan was actually listening, yes, today the gentleman reading is in police uniform, he is now retired from the military after serving 33 years. He decided to read about his military experience vs the police experience.. He was sweet to bring his patrol car to allow the kids to explore, to cool... We thank alllll the people who came to read to the kids....
ALL OF THIS TOOK PLACE BEFORE 9:15. So that was just the first 2 hours... Brayden had awards day at 9:45 that will be my next post I'M just tired... Along with my kids and all our home stuff. My dad is in the hospital so I have been up there and he had surgery that was scheduled for 12 so I ran around like a crazy woman yesterday.. Stay turned for Braydens Awards Day Post.................
